Key Figure Aggregation In Cube

Question: Data is currently:
0FISCPER Amount
1 1000
1 1000
1 1000
2 2000
2 2000

Need to have in cube as:
0FISCPER Amount
1 3000
2 4000

How should key figure aggregate tab be set?
Aggregation: Summation?
Exception Aggregation: Summation -OR- Last Value?
Agg. Ref. Char: 0FISCPER?

Please advise.
Thanks,

I would like to know what part of bw you are refering to, here ?
I can figure out if you are speaking about a cube or an ods, or perhaps at query level ?

Answer:
This would be in the InfoObject, Aggregation tab.

Answer:
OK, now I see. As an answer, let's say that if you have less than one year BW experience, you should leave everything to the default values.
If you have more than one year, then you should be able to be more explicit about your question.

(I hope this don't look nasty ; I don't know how to express things another way)

Answer:
Dear CHC:
Apparently you are now bored with your role in this forum, and are interested only in questions that entertain you.

Perhaps a switch to another SAP forum, say, ABAP, would be in order for you? That would be challenging.

By the way, the other "moderators" in this forum appear to be far more helpful than you have been over the past 6 months or so.

Bye Bye!

Answer:
Hi, Guest, LIB or whoever you are
CHC tried to help you. Any young BW'er knows that if you load, with "by default" options, 3 records for period 1 with amount 1000, it'll sum them into 1 record with 3000 in amount. If you can't understand this, maybe you also missed something, but certainly not in the forum. Better to go back see SAP, and ask them to give you back the money you spent in the BW courses ... or, if you didn't attend the course, to ask for the relative form to follow them...

Answer:
Hey Fred:
No harm intended.
However, CHC's level of frustration has been rising.

To be helpful, forum questions should be answered in a kind and businesslike manner.

Snide comments should not be part of either the moderator responses or the forum participant questions.

Respect the fact that the person making the post wants to participate and needs information.

Answer:
Dear Guest,
I've got two roles here.

One is moderator, in this respect I do delete duplicate posts, lock too nasty ones, forward the one posted in wrong forum, delete advertising from technical forums and some other cleaning activities.

One is NORMAL USER ; in this respect I am allowed to ask questions, and to answer questions. I can also be nasty, what I try to avoid, but in this case you can always call another moderator sothat he will lock my own posts.
I think that in this second role, normal user, I helped here a LOT of people, while I also flamed some others, I have to admit it. I have also been helped by this forum, many times.

In THIS SPECIFIC posting, and as I don't have ANY(*) information about your level in BW, I tried to help you as much as possible.
What I meant is that there is no way to answer your question if you are not enough experienced (remember experience is NOT a question of being clever in my mind, it's only a question of spending time in the system).
And if you ARE experienced, then you should know that your question was not detailed enough (you only have to read what were the answers previous to mine to understand this).

(*) for a registered user, for instance, I often take the time to read some other questions to see wether the answers he need is the basic one or the advanced one

Now, if you still have a question that you think I could answer, you are still welcome.

Ch
-by the way, I also have 8years intensive abap under the belt-

Answer:
How to make:
0FISCPER Amount
1 3000
2 7000

As cumulated.

Answer:
Dear LIB (as you are still the same guest),
I assume this last posting is a joke from yours.

Let's make a poll : I would like to know who among the people browsing this forum, think that your question is detailed enough to be answered without asking you for further explanations.
I mean even with the additional comment you made about the fact that you are speaking about the "aggregate" tab of an infoobject.

Answer:
Dear LIB,

Take it easy dude.

CHC's 1824 posts speaks for him,u and me can spend months reading those.

m sure CHC was kiddin in his earlier POSTS, but if CHC or some one else go thru those m positive will end up writing a BIBLE on BW.

PEACE OUT

Thanks
