Question:
Hello,
We are trying to transport change request in BW system (from QA system
to PRD system).
We have several problems:
1. When trying to transport change request of an InfoCube, not all of
the changes are upadated in the target system.
2. When trying to transport change request of BEx objects, the objects
in the source system are locked and the following massege appers:
BEx transport request '' is not available or not suitable.
When pressing OK the object appears in display mode, no changes are
allowed in the QA system, only in the PRD system.
(This includes queries, key figures, menues, restricted key figures
etc.)
Our BW system is 3.0B, suport package 18.
Thank's in advance,
Hagit.
Answer:
2. once a BEx-object (query, ckf, ... ), all changes to these BEx-objects are saved automatically into a special BEx transport Request.
There should always be one 'open' (that is: not released). Create one via RSA1 > Transport Connection > button 'BEx Request'
Answer:
Hi TFR,
Thank you for your fast reply, it seems to be on the right direction but we
probably missed something on the way.
The problem is, for example, how to assigned new objects to an open change request that was created in that way, or if it assigned automaticaly, where can I see it?
Can you provide me with more information on this topic.
Thank you very much for you help,
Hagit.
Answer:
Hello Hagit,
There is an SAP document that explains the CTS system in BW and you should give this a read. It should give you the basics you need to understand the issues in this area:

1. When trying to transport change request of an InfoCube, not all of the changes are upadated in the target system.
OK, for this, in the changes you make to the InfoCube are some of the items NEWLY created or installed InfoObjects, attributes, etc... which may not have been transported yet?
If you create a new InfoObject, it would still be in class $TMP. If you then add that to an InfoCube which has already been transported, the prompt for the transport request only captures the addition of the InfoObject to the Cube, it does not transport the needed creation of the InfoObject.
In the Transport connection under RSA1 gather all the preceding (in data flow before) objects for the InfoCube in question, and note whether or not all items have a $TMP class or not.
There are some minor but very KEY differences in transporting BW Objects as opposed to standard SAP objects.
