Question:
Dear BW experts,
I am trying to load data from r/3 system to the BW. I selected 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM and loaded some data, it was a success. But when I scheduled a job with 2LIS_01_S260 to upload data, the monitor gace a message 'Chk source system, no data available in the source system'....I replicated the datasource in BW....am I making a mistake somewhere? how do I get data from r/3 with the 2LIS_01_S260...
Thanks a lot for your time
regards

Answer:
2lis_01_s260 is a LIS datasource, not a lo-cockpit datasource;
check first that the transparent table S260 contains data;
if yes, then you missed one step during the datasource generation

Answer:
Dear CHC,
I checked for S260 in r/3 and the data does not exist there. Could you please find some time to explain the steps to make the data available and the possible steps to make it available in BW ( I know I am asking too much..but thanks a million for your time

Answer:
first of all, I am pretty sure you could find a complete explanation of the process by searching the forum about LIS structures
secondly, I think it would be a very bad service from me if I was just explaining how to do it, because
following me you don't need to do that at all;
the information that you would retrieve via s260 are redundant with the standard extractors; if you have more info in s260, then enhance the standard, don't use s260
s260 is a lis table, to feed this table you need to customize LIS in source system and activate the update; this way of doing things is an old fashioned way that should only be use in very specific scenario; the new way is via lo cockpit
don't use 2lis_01_s260
