Question:
Hi fans,
We are observing something in BEx which might be the standard behaviour, but i want to check if soem really knows:
We have a report with a drilldown on 4 characteristics and some key figures in the columns. When we try to sort according to any characteristic that is not the first in the drilldown (for exampl, one that is in the 3rd columns), the sort doesn't work. If we however bring this drilldown to the front (first column), the sort on this characteristic does work.
Is this standard BEx behaviour or should it be possible to drilldon on characteristics thatare not in the first column?
Thanks for your help,
T.
Answer:
You're correct, it's standard BW behavior .... it's also standard reporting rule in IT : you first sort on major (leftmost) and then on next columns..

Answer:
Of course, if you are using the Excel front End your user can do any sorting they wnat to by excel functionality.
Sure - it won't refresh that way but they could make thier own workbook with that column as the leftmost column anyway.
