What's the best way of getting a variable to show ONLY those characteristic values posted to the cube when you do an F4 drop-down in the variable pop-up?
I have tried all the settings in the "Business Explorer" pop-up in the infoobject maintenance btu none seem to work.

Sorry, guys.
I should have made myself clearer. We are only getting this on the F4 in the web version. Via the InfoObject maintenance we have been able to limit F4 values to only those posted when using BEx.

I have tried this parameter in the HTML in WAD and it doesn't appear to have made a difference. Would this be set at the top or specific to a certain item?

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by the "pull-down definition"? Do you mean drop-down items? It's just that I'm not using drop-downs, this is a pop-up variable inherited from the query definition.
