I killed all the dependencies to my infoobject,
but I still receive the following error messages
InfoObject ZC_ACFR were not deleted
InfoSource ZC_ACFR (Master data) is not known 1
Error when deleting transfer rules from characteristic ZC_ACFR
ZC_ACFR is a date field created with reference to 0date, so there is no master data associated to zc_acfr itself, nor infosource of course, so also no transfer rules.
How can I fool the system sothat it skip those checks ?

In BW 3.1 patch 08, just right click on your info object in Administrator Workbench, and choose delete.
I replicated your situation, and it worked fine, my infoobject has disparead from the characteristic catalog.

Got the same problem with an infosource I'm not able to delete. The system tells me that infoobject 0calmonth2 is used in the communication structure of wi_quant still. But in the awb I cannot see a) the communication structure (as I didn't have one left) b) the infoobject 0calmonth2 within ANY communication structure.
I think there's one SAP table where according entries should be deleted, but I haven't had a close look at these ones yet. Maybe it's something similiar with your issue?

Juergen, I am sure it is the same kind of problem...
For mine, I found oss note 495968.
It did not help me, as the workaround proposed is not working with a characteristic without master data, and I can't give it master data as it is a reference to another char...
But I found my own tricky of doing what I needed, so problem solved.
