Triggering LO WB Delta Queue without changing the Document

Question: Hi all,

i have this really pain-in-the-ass issue, which some of you must have faced before, so hoping to get some possitive feedback.

We load our invoice and sales order data data into BW via DS 2LIS_13_VDITM / 2LIS_11_VASCL. We got it rolling with a 99.9% accuracy but we identified cases where a change is made to the invoice or sales order without a delta being triggered (that is, without an entry being written to it's extract stucture)
The cases are:
- hard updates in VBRK/VBRP/VBAK/VBAP
- changing/adding a partner function (a Z* one) to the invoice or sales order without changing anything else to the invoice or sales order.

Without going into discussion about these 2 cases, is there a way to trigger a dopcument (invoice or sales order) into it's delta queue?
For sales orders a possible work-around would be changing a field from the sales order (that is in it's extract structure of course) saving it, then going back in and resetting the field to it's original status so that a change is registered on the sales order. While this is certainly not a pretty or handy solution, for invoices it is nearly impossible. Once an invoice is printed (and an accounting document is created) there are practically no fields that can be changed anymore!

To summarize: is there a way to trigger a document into it's LO WB extraction queue without an 'official' change being made to the document?

Any hints are appreciated...

Tnx
T.

Answer:
You wrote the anwers in your question... Three cases :
"hard change"
I also put the in front of this one. This cannot happen, and your user cannot blame you because you don't pick up this one.

"Once an invoice is printed (and an accounting document is created) there are practically no fields that can be changed anymore!"
So, just tell everybody that the Z field is part of the list of fields that cannot be changed

"For sales orders a possible work-around would be ..."
If you really want to pick it up, apply your possible workaround...

So, that's bad news : following me there is no EASY way to solve your problem. If I were you, and based on the fact that the accuracy is 99.9%, I would just explain the situation the same way you wrote here to your manager, and whoever is "responsible" and tell them that a BW guy is not supposed to solve all issues created by a misuse of the source system.

Tnx for your opinions CHC and of course i agree (since it were my own answers also )

Problem is that users here use BW to check down to document level (... yeah yeah i know, but in my defense, i wasn't on the project at the time these decissions were made) and their figures must match the accounting and balance amounts, so we must keep looking for that 100%.

I was just hoping that anyone already made a program using one of the V3 function modules to write to the extract structures manually. Sounds doable to me, but i hoping to get some poiunteres and ideas here...

(i don't understand why the whole Logistics Cockpit doesn't have an optionwhere you just can selct document numbers and a target extract structure of datasource so that you can manually create an entry in there with the latest status of that document... that would be soooooo usefull)
