Question:
Hello
I'm trying to use the MC11VA0SCL extractor Cockpit in order to extract data from R3(SP 2001.2) to BW. I have read posted notes in this forum and also doc in sapnet but I can not find detail info about init .
Im planning to use the setup init (OLI7BW) in order to fill the historical data(2001-2002), due the large quantity of record I have to split this info in various jobs...but I wonder how can I upload all this jobs into BW ?I've read in "Extracting SD and LE Trans Data" document that is not recommended to use full update with this extractors also and obviously I cannot use delta for loading historical data.. so how can I upload all the jobs that contains the historical data into BW because in BW (infopackage)I only can select one time "delta init" option. There is an option in OLI7BW where I can flag "New Run" but I made some test and I'm not sure if this flag can be the solution .
Thanks in advance for any help about this topic.

Answer:
Hello again
I have read again and carefully the document "Extracting SD and LE Trans Data" and my question about init in various jobs is resolved.
Here are the steps that we have to follow:
1.-I need to create variants in OLI7BW according to the number of jobs that I need to split. (I didnt flag the option 'New run')
2.- In trans SM36 create a job that calls the program "RMCVNEUA" an put in every job all the variants that I created in OLI7BW
3.- Run the principal job
4.- Upload the info into BW as a full update.
I did some upload test and apparently it's working fine...the only question that I have is when do I have to flag the option"new run" in OLI7BW

Answer:
the help on that field says:
New run
Indicator that determines that a new run should be started.
Use
If you set this indicator, document processing begins even when the first document is chosen, if a restart entry under the run name in use still exists.

Answer:
When you create your run under name RUNA, you don't know how long it will take, it could be 2 days.
For certain reasons (backup, shutdown), you want to ensure your RUNA will not run longer than 1 day (even if not finished), so you input the relevant information in the appropriate fields of the same screen.
if RUNA had to be stopped, you can restart it after the event (backup, shutdown) by mentionning RUNA and deflagging the "new run" field. The job will continue where it stopped.
If you want to run an actually NEW run under the same name, RUNA, you have to flag the box.
If you always use other names, you don't care about the box.
