Question:
I need to run compression for the first time on a number of infocubes.
I ran program SAP_DROP_EMPTY_FPARTITIONS and I see lots of partitions that have -1 in the reqid as below.
/BIC/FZPA0000000015 14 1- 100,666 (may be dropped DIM)
Is it advisable to drop these before doing the compression or should I compress the cube first and then drop what remains.
I am assuming I should do it first as it would speed up the compression.

Running this report but still haven't built up courage to hit DO DROP!
Can someone explain why the partitions are in this 1- status.
Are these requests that have been deleted from the cube but the partition still exists on the F table but is not available for reporting.
Don't like deleting things in case I might be wrong.
