Iīm new and Iīm not a good english speaker, furthermore, this is my first post.
My problem is that I have queries that I need delete, but I canīt delete because users have it in their favorites. Also, I need to restrict favorites in order users canīt insert queries or workbooks. The questions are:
1.- Can I delete the queries althought users have it in their favorites?.
2.- Can I restrict favorites in order to the users canīt insert some or all queries or workbooks in favorites?
If you have another solution or recommendation be welcome.

Anyway, the answer to your first question is yes. You can delete queries even if users are using them in their favourites. When you do so (using RSZDELETE), you will be prompted for whether you also want to delete workbooks. I always do, since they would otherwise be left as "orphans".
You might also want to go through the process of figuring out who has created workbooks as favourites first by using the Metadata Repository, then notify them that they are about to lose their favourites in x days, etc.
I am not sure about the answer to #2. I do not know of any way to restrict this, so I will leave this one to other gurus who are more familiar with the security side of BW.
