In transaction spro -> Maintain DataSource and, I want to
enhance the BW Adapter metadata. But the IMG activity documentation is not really clear to me, and I did not found any information on OSS /
help.sap.com / service.sap.com.
E.g. of What is not really clear:
1. Business content DataSource 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H. We want to enhance this DataSource
2. Transaction spro

structure field. (1) You must program the mapping itself in a BAdI

(1) Where can I find/define the segment name & Segment field of the BDOC?
(2) It is not clear to us how & where to do this programming.
Does anyone have more information on how to extend the
CRM business content Datasources?

could u please explain some more information about BDOC and BADI implementation in data source extention..?
we used the standard user exit for CRM data source extension too.

I am completely at a loss with this CRM extension.
Actually I am trying to extend this same datasource in Solution Manager, I just cant seem to follow the flow via these mappings etc... maybe becuase we are relatively new to CRM type data structures.
I wonder if someone could cite an example field and step me through the logic... I'd really appreciate it.
Questions:
- I get that I have to do the mapping but how do I find the SegmentName and Segmentfld information?
- How do I figure out which FM actually does the extraction? any sample code?
amazing! 3 years in BW and I am now seeing CRM enhancement for the first time, I'm booked on a course but not till the new year (budget issues!!)

1. read docu on Easy Enhancement Workbench (actually the CRM dudes and dudesses should be able to explain this to you... but then again, that's in an ideal world)
2. read docu on BADI's... the info you found "You must program the mapping itself in a BAdI implementation for the BAdI CRM_BWA_SFLOW" is pretty straight forward... create an implementation for the BADI, then start coding (it's the new ABAPOO way of user exits)
can't help you more as I'm currently not an a CRM project... and don't have access to a CRM system right now
