Hi all,
I am noticing that the event BUS2009.ReleaseStepCreated is triggered with some Purchase Requisitions and completely is not triggered with some other. I do not mean that the event is not triggering the WF. No, I mean the application is not triggering the event sometimes so even you cannot trace it cuz it was triggered.
I tried to find if there was a field restriction at the change document "swec" but I could not find any related change document object. My question is how can I find what preventing this event to be triggered?

Have you maintained the proper IMG settings in MM ?
When a PR that needs release is created the system will determine the Group/Release code, and then check if that Group/Code combination is WF relevant.
It might be that those that don't trigger are for an Group/Code combination that hasn't been maintained as WF relevant.
Check on the settings for Release Procedure with Characteristics.

Ideally speaking system does not work on its wills and wims but it works as per our defined level of configurational set up.
If u r using sap standard workflow for PR check release strategies classification,and u will get a light out their.
