Question:
I recently upgraded my gui and some settings for my ABAP editor were changed. Now all the text in Update rules / Transfer rules / Start routinges etc. are the same font and color. Before the upgrade comment lines were blue, code which shouldn't be changed was grey, etc.
Is there a setting I can make so that the text is displayed how it used to be?

Answer:
in an ABAP Editor screen, check the options via Menu path: Utilities > Settings (ABAP Editor tab) - it has probably changed from Front-end editor to Back-end editor
