Hi Gurus,
My requirement is as below.
I wanted to add two new fields(incoterms & Commodity code) to an existing infocube (Billing's cube in production system)
I found the required fields 1)Commodity Code under unassigned nodes and 2)Incoterms in the "ZCU_SALES - Customer General and Sales Area View infocube" respectively in the Production system only.
So,could any body suggeest me how to add these two fields to the Billings Cube with out deleting the data from it .

You can not add fields to an existing and filled cube. No way...
What you can do is to create a copy of your cube and fill it with the cube contents (help to Datamarts). Then you supress the contents of your original cube. You modify its structure by adding your new fields. Then you 'copy' back the contents of your cube (always with Datamarts).
Your new fields will be empty. You will have to modify your update rules to fill them with following infopackages. But for the past, forget it ...
If you are using ODS before feeding your cube, maybe you can get the values of these new fields during the 'back copy' wit the second step of Datamarts.

just add them... you don't need to delete data from an InfoCube when you add fields (unless you want these fields to contain historical data as well)
