Question:
We have just upgraded our GUI to 620 - this process deletes the old directory structure in the C:\Program Files\SAPpc\Bw... directory and replaces it with a new one (C:\Program Files\SAP\Front End\BW) where all the BW-related files are now stored.
But when I run Excel it keeps trying to look for the sapbex.xla in the old directory and not the new one. Does anyone know how to make sure Excel looks in the new directory for the sapbex.xla add-in?

Answer:
You could open Excel (not BEx) and click on tools->add-ins and then broese to the folder that contains sapbex.xla and select the file. Then the BEx tool bar will show up whenever you open Excel, alson with the macro warning dialog. This is just a work around. However if you are also using ESSBASE, then whichever was enabled first will only work.
