Question:
Hi BWers,
I'm new to BW so excuse me if my question is too simple. Whenever I try to install an InfoObject Catalog in the AWB - Bussiness Content view it ends up with an error message saying: "Infoobject 0CO_AREA doesn't exist in version A." What the hack does it mean?
Please help, thanks a lot.

Answer:
Hi MGubco,
Welcome to the world of SAP BW.
Try and find the InfoObject 0CO_AREA. The error message is saying that it doesn't exist in the Active version.
I guess you need to think about the other InfoObjects that come with 0CO_AREA. If it is the only one, then go and activate it in the Business Content tab. Ensure that you tick at least this one under the install checkbox, then once that is done, go and activate the required InfoObject Catalog.
In theory you should only have to activate BC once but there may be times when you need to activate all or some of it more than once.
Good luck.
Evan

All right, I go to the infoobject maintainance transaction and try to activate the object (and i activated all of the subordinated objects) and after the activation process it still says that "The object blah blah doesn't exist in version A". I'm desperate.

Answer:
Hi,
Shall you tell me please which version and SP level your in now ..?
choose the info object with data flow before in BC and activate it.
there are some OSS notes available for 3.0b version and check the message class and find the OSS.
we had the same issue earlier and its fixed with out applying any SP.
let us know if its not solved and this info object is key for controlling.
cheers
