I have a question ,Maybe some of u can answer.
I have smatexdem,0plant and 0prctr(profit center )in my cube and in the update rules for the prctr I ask it to read from an ODS which has key fields as smatexdem(enhanced material number) and plant and as data fields it has PRCTR.But the problem is, this ODS gets its data from a table MARC with key fields as 0material and Plant and pulls in the PRCTR.Is it possible.the contents of 0material and smatexdem are the same.

This appears to be a compound object with attributes (profit center) based on material and plant in combination. In the update rules when you assign material to smatexdem the compounding object (plant) should be assigned automatically.
Note: Usually this type of object is in the cube only as a means of deriving its navigable attributes, so it should not be in the aggregates, which eliminates the large dimension (n * materials) in the base cube.
