Hi all,
I have to get the below fields into my cube which are not there in my datasource.
1.LABST-Plant stock view
2.ATNAM-Material characteristic
3.GL account -HKONT and
4.Consignment-PSTYP.
Could someone suggest me on whether using a generic datasource would be the best option or is there any other option.

The first option that must be considered is enhancing your exisitng datasource by adding new fields to your extract structure and populate them with values in the user exit.
Your case is very normal and the above option is the best way to achive this unless there are some special requirements.

Best approach is to enhance as ALI suggested and if u go for generic u dont need to write a new extractor u can encapsulate with wrapper function the original datasource.
