In my workflow I want to include a task which sends an email to an Internet address (like outlook or yahoo).
I used the Object SELFITEM and method sendtaskdescription.
But I get the error document could not be sent
Message no. SO 023
What is the best way to send an email to an Internet address?

You could use in the recipient type field equal to 'U' and in the addresstring field the mail address.

U can create a new method which will execute the Function module "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1" and pass the necessary values to RECEIVER structure.

You need to setup your e-mail gateway and also doing a mapping of document type to tell how an SAP document/form will be translating in e-mail.
