Does anybody know if it is possible to transport hierarchies from a development system to a production system.
And is it possible to change the Job class of the jobs that are created by aleremote in the r/3 source system to extrat data.

But it is possible to transport an InfoSource with associated DataSource and InfoPackage to build the hierarchy - something I've done successfully.

...the problem being about hierarchies that you created directly in BW DEV, not via an upload from a source system.
In fact, it is not transportable because it is actually data, not structure. Never did it on my own, but pretty sure somebody here around could give us a trick on how to download it to a pc, for instance, and reload it in the target system.
Job class : don't know.

I haven't tried the Upload and download thing but yes it is possible to take it by making the Exporting the Hierarchy infosource as a datasource in development.
Replicate the Datasource using development as a source system in production, and then map it to the production infosource and extract it there.
Have done it ( QA and Prod).........and it goes through........here the export datasource would be present in the datamart of Development.
