%CT and SUMCT Normalization

Question: I'm using %CT and SUMCT in my report. Whenever i carry out the query, I always get the message, "Warning Culd not carry out all norming". We have a 2.0b. I asked a friend to try the same formula in 3.0b system and it worked. Can anyone help me here? Thanks

Answer:
Hi Wunderbar,

I am having the same problem as you describe. We are running a 2.1C system, with the 4.6 GUI, and the query works fine. We are currently upgrading our GUI to 6.2 and are receiving the message "Warning Could not carry out all norming".

I sent in an OSS Message and SAP is saying that this behavior is normal, I still think it is caused by the GUI/BW FrontEnd Patch.....I am going to keep trying to resolve thru OSS...

Can anyone else shed some light to this ?

Thanks

Answer:
This message usually occurs when drilling across on a characteristic.
Did you do such a thing ?

Answer:
Yes, This particular query has characteristics being drilled accross (Fisc Yr/Period) and other characteristics are being drilled down (Material/Customer).

As I wrote prior, this error does not occur if we run the query using the 4.6 GUI. This problem only occurs with the 6.2 GUI (Patch 42 Frontend 10)

Thanks for your reply Fred.
