Any idea why the datasource option in this path is Deem out.
Double click on any infosource --> Extra -- Obejct-Directory Entry --Datasource.
I try to transport my InfoSource and when i want to collect related object such as trnsfer rule, infosource and datasoure (but it is deem out).

-did you search the forum ?-
you don't transport a datasource on bw side;
you transport it on r3 side and replicate it in your target bw system afterwards,
before tranporting the other things such as infosource and related components

yes, i did search on Forum on this, pls correct me if i have wrong concept.
I transport the Datasource from R3 and then in BW i transfer my Infosource in Transport connection, but when i checked my Inforsource after transport, the assignment of Datasource in my Infosoure is not transport (missing, only communication structure is there), therefore i thought i left out my datasource assignment in BW.
pls advice.

1) transport datasource in R3 prod
2) replicate datasource in BW prod
3) transfert infosource in BW prod
if you only have communication structure in your transport, that's because you flagged "only necessary objects" ; flag "in data flow before" and enjoy the difference...
you don't transport the datasource, just a reference that links the infosource to that datasource. and of course the transfer rules and so on

It is really appreciate of this fast response.
I think i have got the concept correctly this time. I just check back my last transport log and have noticed another point that caused the failure of my transport.
Mapping between data source 0FI_AR_3 and source system is inconsistent
and with a detail of
InfoObj. 0POST_KEY from fld BSCHL of dataSource 0FI_AR_3 is not active but BCT ex. -> Dtl
could this be the same reason as my last post ?

could it be more detailed as an error message ?
"InfoObj. 0POST_KEY " - that is, infoobject called 0POST_KEY
"from fld BSCHL" - used as an attribute of field BSCHL
"of dataSource 0FI_AR_3" - , that is pertaining to datasource 0FI_AR_3
"is not active" - is not active
"but BCT ex" - but Business Content exist
so, can't we assume that you are missing the correct activation of an infoobject, let's say 0POST_KEY ?
check in your BW prod if this infoobject is active.
most probably it is not.
check in your BW dev if this infoobject is active.
most probably it is.
now, create a new transport containing 0post_key, transport it to prod, reimport the failed transport.

Hi,
This is quite an old topic but I dedided to put my post here since I'm getting the same kind of error when moving my data source. Only in my situation it is caused by the fact that I can not replicate DS from source system correctly. I mean - I'm not getting any error while replicating - everything seems to work fine, except that what I have in BW is different from what I have in R/3...
I would appreciate your suggestions.
