Keyfigure values are being rounded in reporting??????

Question: Hi,

Iam getting a keyfigure of type quantity which has 0UNIT as unit of measure. the values are Decimals in the source , and when i load them i can see the decimal values in the cube, but in reporting those values are getting rounded to integers???? The value for 0UNIT is EA that is being loaded from the source system.
I want those values not to be rounded. Any help???

Answer:
Hmmm, you should check the preferences of the key figure - infoobject (under Business Explorer) and the preferences of your query. Definitely it's a problem related to the display format in BEx.

JuergenL,

Well , i don't think my problem is with the display,
I think it has something to do with the 0UNIT value.
the records with unit LB are working fine, but with value EA are being rounded in Bex and not in the Cube. But i can't change the value because it is coming from the source sytem. Can you tell me where exactly are the values for 0UNIT stored and is there any EXIT to deal with this.

Answer:
To be more clear let u explain,

Source file:

quantity Unit of measure
1.25 EA
2.75 LB

Cube shows the same.
Report in Bex show:

quantity
1.0000 EA
2.7500 LB

4 decimal digits are because i have set the definition like that in the infoobject-> Business Explorer.

Well, I think that the unit of measure "EA" (means each, doesn't it?) can't display values with decimals. Looks like something wrong in the data. In german it is "ST" and you can have 1, 2, 3 but not 1.5, 2.15 or similar.

Hello,

a workaround for this could be:

In the query designer combine the function NODIM () with your key figure. The key figure will not be rounded any more. Disadvantage: The unit isn't displayed any more. But perhaps you would like to display the unit only in the column header?

Answer:
Hi,

That doesn't serve my need as i have different Units coming in from the source and one among them is EA(each).
Actually i have figured this one out,
--Go to transaction CUNI.
In unit of Measure tab( EA was defined under No dimensions family,)
---Delete it from there
---go to mass family
--- create a new unit of measure(EA) over there.

Hi all,
I have strange problem with reports on inventory cube. All the quantity KFs in report are displayng without decimals no matter what ever the unit may be. In cube I can see the values with decimals. Are there any bex settings for noncumulative Kfs?
Thanks in advance,

Answer:
hi,
Did you check the infoobject definition(ur KF)-> additional properties -> business explorer-Decimal places.
and also in the query definition. right click on the KF(properties) and check the decimal places over there.

there's an OSS note on this (568151)... it may be applicable for you (has to do with your settings in R/3 in the units table T006, more specifically fields ANDEC and DECAN.

Answer:
Hi El Belgio & TBK,
Thanks .
Why do I have this problem only with Inventory management . SD and all others are fine.
This problem is after Upgrade to 3.1c. I don't have this problem in 2.1c. All my settings are same in both systems.
In Infoobject bexsettings decimal places we have not selected anthing.
