Trying to understand the Delta functionality for generic datasources. I searched the forum and didn't get the perfect answer for my doubt given below.
I have created Datasource on Ztable and one of my fields have DataTtime and i selected it as delta field. I put the lower limit and upper limit to 1 thinking that delta should be carried out every day.
I generated datasource and replicated in BW and scheduled a Initialize delta package.
Now my question is how will the system know to get only delta records only when i run the package again.
I really don't understand just by selecting DateTime field as Delta field, how will system gets delta records.
Is there any logic should i use OR system will take care? Can anyone explain....

change the first sentence in
"Now my question is how will the system know to get only delta records only when i run the DELTA package"
and as you set 1, the system will look at everything changed on day today-1
that's the improvement on this new plug-in, you no longer have to take care yourself about how to achieve it
by the way, upper limit has non-sense in this scenario, following my understanding (but anybody willing to correct me on that is welcome)
