My basis guy has created Two clients (100,200) on the same server. My bw ver is 3.1. First i logon to Client 100 and do the necessary setting such as assign logical system and did all the source system connection. Everything works fine in this client. The problem arise when i logon to Client 200, and then system response with this message -'You can only work in client 100'. ,, whe i click on the note,,
You can only work in client 100
Message no. BRAIN009
Diagnosis
Your SAP BW system can only operate in client 100
Procedure
Log on in client 100.
Why ??? ,, What setting my basis miss out to enable logon to TWO client concurrently ????

as far as I know you CAN'T have two clients in BW;
the concept is different than in "normal" R3 systems

I have worked in ver 2.0b with Two client on the same server, but unfortunately i didn't involve in any of those related setting. Really need to get some other opinion or i think i should log an OSS message.

I am really surprised by your answer, so I would like you to elaborate it;
as nearly none of the tables are including a MANDT field, nearly everything is cross client, so what could be the use of having two clients ?

Yes you are right, i just contacted my ex-basis and i was mistaken understood the Two client in my previous compnay. It is actually Two BW system in the same server.
