Hi All,
I've encountered a problem loading master data in 3.0B. It seemed like 3.0B won't allow data field with blank in it. The error message "Record 3:Value '19' for characteristic 0Date is not numeric" when I looked at the PSA the ' the date field is blank. Maybe SAP has a default year '19'. I filled in the date and it worked and then complain about the next record. Can I use transfer rules or update rules during the loading so I won't have this problem again. Thanks!

Yes you can!
In your transfer rule check whether your date field is blank and specify some "logic" to fill it.

Thanks! I went into the transfer rule and only see a place for creating start routine, is this the place to put my code? I am not that good of an ABAP programmer. Supposely I want to change all the blank Rev_date to 01/01/1998. How would I go about doing this? Would you please show me in detail? Thanks a million!!
