Question:
I am trying to change the BEx display on the infoobject 0Material from ‘Key and Short text’ to ‘Key and Long text’
On the ‘Business Explorer’ tab of the infoobject I have selected the BEx description as ‘Long description’. On the ‘Master data/texts’ tab of the infoobject both ‘Short text exists’ and ‘Long text exists’ are both selected.
However when a query is executed in BEx Explorer only the short text appears when the data is displayed as Key and Name.
We are on version 3.0b
Any ideas why??

We had same issue. Bug that was in 2.0 that has been carried over. Even if you have short, medium and long text and set the default as long, it still displayed the short text. Solution was to delete the short text from the text table (required the table to be converted) and then we were able to see medium text on the report. When we transported this, we still had to manully convert the table in each system.
