Language in Web Application ALWAYS German

Question: Hi guys,

I am facing some strange problems with language in a web application :
on monday I saved a favorites linked to a certain web application that worked fine (in english)
since then I am no longer able to see it in other language than german

I tried to change the url (as you could see in another posting) to add sap-language=EN but it did not work then I tried to put EN as value in my profile, no luck

a 'colleague' put FR and then received it in english, but no success for me ?!

When I "launch in web browser" a query from qdesigner, I also receive it in german
most probably not a global setting as certain people here don't have the same issue

any idea ?

-running out of ideas, need to make a big demo tomorrow (that is in 14h from now), ANY idea would be appreciated-

what I did

check that my logon language is maintained : english

logon on the machine where a colleague succesfully did it, with his NT id and my sap id

copy the successfull user to another user

Answer:
could it be because somebody screwed up 0query_template ?

Answer:
I wouldn't think so.... because the template is NOT user specific.

If you execute the query in RSRV (or is it RSRT, whatever) do you get the same result?

It *might* be from personalization and possibly it got personalized for you???? (Yeah, its a reach)

Given its limited to you, I would really suspect your profile is fubar in some way. I know outside of BW we have had a few user accounts that had "odd" behavior and deleting and recreating the account seemed to fix things, but that is a reach.

Answer:
not limited to me : 7 people in the classroom, at least 3/4 having troubles

I did create a brand new user. no way.
copy the one running ok. no way.
using the one running ok(I 'stole' his password). no way.

I tried with another terminal. no way.
I tried with another BW system (but same level of SP and same local sapgui). no way.

It is also not set as "loggin anonymously in German".

I know it is not, but I though perhaps it takes into account an hidden variable located on the computer or something similar.

BUT when creating a brand new template and "Execute in the browser", I am able to get it in english

So, I found a workaround for my demos of tomorrow
(just have to prepare it, now)

Thanks for the support. If I find what happened, I will post it here but most probably I will not have the opportunity to look at it again.
