Is it possible to update two similar infocubes from one ODS object? After the update is there any mechanism to load data from flat files?

again this posting is not clear enough
what do you want to feed from your flat file ? the cubes, one cube, the ods ?
so...
yes you can feed two cubes from one ods, just choose twice the same source of data when defining your update rules for the cube
after that, or before, or before and after;
you can load the cube(s) with info from a flat file as long as you create the necessary update rule and the necessary infosource based on the flat file
the same applies for the ods
