I am trying to assign the data source to Infosource. Say Customer line item. In the pop us it lists the source sytem . When I assign the R/3 source sytem I get the following message.
No available DataSources for source system TR4CLNT100 exist.
TR4CLNT100 is my R/3 source system.

Then, did you replicate this datasource in bw ?

I activated in SBIW. I did like this. My infosource is OFIAR_CO3. For this I went into R/3 SBIW and transferred data sources of OF_AR_1 3 4 AND 5 and after this tried to connect the infosource. still I am getting the same message.

Did you replicate datasource . if you double click on source system
in Administravie workbench . you will see your application area .
just go ahead right click on Application component and click replicate datasource .

I did what eve has been mentioned. Still I am not able to get.
Further when on the Source System on the BIW . on the context menu and selected the Data source overview I got the following message.
There is no application component hierarchy in BW for source system &1.
Load application component hierarchy from the source system now?
when I press yes still the application component hierarchy is not getting loaded. what do I do.
