30A new architecture for ODS object

Question:
hi everybody,
in sap documentation delta 20b 30B sap says that the architecture for ods object has changed, as table M (new data) does not exit anymore and the activation takes place directly from change log to active data (table A).

After upgrade from 20b to 30b, i tested data load for existing ODS in my system and i can't realize the difference as data package still passes into table M and only after activation i find data into change log table and active data table.
I also created a new ODS and the behaviour is the same.

Did anyone test the same and can explain me the right behaviour for ODS in rel.30B? do i have to set some specific parameters in customizing or bw setting?

I hope to understand before to upgrade my production system(next week)
thank for reading me.
ciao.

Answer:
It 'looks' the same in that data comes in as 'new data' and you have to activate it. The difference is that the 'new data' table is in the form of a PSA table with the request number in it. This was not the case in 2.0/2.1
Other than that it's not that different.

Answer:
Thanks Guest,
your answer makes me feel more quite.
so the data i see in new data table have the same package reference as the ones i load in PSA (as i choose in my infopackage to load always PSA and then destination)... is it correct?
and even if i do not choose to load PSA the system works throught PSA anyway and i need to plan a cleaning job for these PSA too .correct?
you are a true expert.
ciao.
