A dependent object is being locked by transport system

Question: Hi BW fans !
I made a query, i transported it in prd system
In dev system i created a role wich gives to users permissions to execute and display
When users want to copy this query the following message appears:
"A dependent object is being locked by transport system"
and they can't copy it.
I verified if query elements are included and locked in transport request and they aren't
What is the reason for the message? Any idea ?
Thanks

Answer:
Try regenerating the query program in RSRT . Also set the object changeability flag in your prod flag to everything changeable for query elements.

I had this similar problem and I'm not really sure if regeneration or a manual re-transport from Dev fixed the problem.

Last resort would be to do a manual transport from transport connection and make sure to select all query elements before you create the transport. Also validate the logs after the transport is created . These provide valuable info on object locks . So if any of your query elements is locked in a seperate transport this transport would fail.

The logs are somewhat misleading though as it shows that the object is locked in the request you just created but this can be ignored.
