Hello to all,
We're connecting SAP BW to a SAP HR system. One of the key figures we report are restricted SAP HR procedures. (People entering/leaving the company).
In the query we use the "extracted" SAP HR organization structure hierarchy in SAP BW (0orgunit, ORGEH) for the presentation of those key figures. This works fine, except for the fact that the hierarchy tends to change over time.
The problem we're facing is the fact that a procedure on a specific orgunit that occured in the past is lost (as a query result) when that orgunit ceased to exist sometime later in the past. The orgunit we select as queryvariable for the report is an orgunit "above" the one that ceased to exist.
The behavior we want in the query is that we want see the results by historical truth (all results that belongs to an orgunit, or underlying orgunits in the past in a specific TIME RANGE), but we want to select our orgunit according to the current truth of the hierarchy (KEY DATE).
Anyone suggestions ??
