Hi,
As I understand it, Hyperion is a tool for financial consolidation. The new Hyperion financial management (HFM) tool provides more features similiar to those of BW (with possibilities for more multidimensional analysis) but does not come close to the possibilities that BW offers outside financial consolidation reporting
In addition, if you need to get the data directly out of R/3, you have to purchase a special extractor to tap into R/3 tables or write abap programs in R/3.
I would also be interested if someone has actual experiences on comparing the tools.

Thanks. What we are lookingfor is we need a frontend other than BW that could work on BW cubes but more poweful and easy thatn BEX.
Anybody have inputs?
