Question:
I am preparing to install IGS on my SAB BW 30B (6.20) server WIN NT.
I will be using the same server for IGS.
I got the software from service marketplace. The procedure to install is the same then for a support package?
Is there any IGS installation documentation available?
Concerns and Tips would be appreciatted as well.

Yes, there is an IGS installation guide available in the service marketplace. You should be able to find it under the Quick Link "INSTALLGUIDES" (or something like that).
The procedure is not the same as a support package or PI. It is a standalone program which BW (R/3) hoooks into. You would install it like most other windows applications. You also apply patches in the same way (Similiar to Portals maint.)

My experience of the IGS is that you can't install it on your BW server it must go somewhere else.
We also had issues with a conflict with the IGS and virus software which SAP had to help us with via OSS.

We have had no problems running IGS and BW on the same server. The only issue we encountered is that sometimes IGS needs a "kick" seperate from BW when you restart the server. (i.e. restart IGS services again after bringing the server back up b/c it didn't start right)
But since I applied the last patch to IGS I have not had to do that in months. Its been nice b/c IGS is a service which just kinda works and has not needed much supervision for us.
