On what version of BW are you ?
It is very achievable in BW3, but there are a few points one should look out for.
- If a query in BW is using multiple structures, the connection to Crystal is not currently supported. In this case you will have to remove one of the structures and rebuild it using Crystal technology.
- Crystal reports do however allow you to enhance your BEX query in many ways, especially when it comes to conditional formatting and presentation quality.
But the general answer will be - yes, you can replicate the BEX query in Crystal.

One thing that you do lose in creating a Crystal Report using a Query as the data source is the navigational attributes. If you really want to do this, I'd recommend that you create a new BEX query and have all the fields in the rows and columns, that way you can pick and chose what you want on the Crystal report.
