Anyone have experience of using this task on a quarterly or other basis?
There is no option to assign a consolidation frequency within the task configuration in UCWB (Process or Technical view).
Any help appreciated.

Period initialization is a standard function… there is no provision to fix the consolidation frequency there.
Task which created for the document, you can mention whether it is to be entered on monthly , quarterly etc. Accordingly the reversal happens on month , quaterly etc. This you can take care specifically at task created for document.

Question:
Can you run Balance Carried Forward (BCF) and Period Initialisation (Period Init) more than once for a specific period?
We are currently still busy with 2006 Period 12 reporting (Year-end), but we'll soon have to 'open' 2007 period 1 for monthly reporting.
There is a VERY good change that we'll get period 12 adjustments after we've run BCF and Period Init for 2007 period 1.
Will it be safe to re-run both those tasks again later, once the period 12 stuff is finalised?
(I realise that the Data Collection, Journal Upload, etc. icons will be reset in the monitor if I do)
Answer:
Yes you can.
However, if you have already loaded data to subsequent periods, the BCF task can make adjustments to period 1 (keeping overall YTD the same as it was before you ran BCF for a second time)
Therefore if you do run BCF again, run the data collection and other tasks in period 1 again too.
