What is version linkage in BCS. Actual version is linked to plan, forecast, histroy.
Can someone tell me what is version linkage and how does it help.

Hi Amith,
Version linkage is done in assignment combination.
The master data and hierarchy defined in one version can automatically flow to other version with thru version linkage.If the master data is time dependant and version dependant it is lot useful.
That document type, methods defined in one version can be made automatically availble in other version with out being recreated. If you don't create links then the MD, DT, methods will not automatically flow to other versions.
