Estimated Bills on IS-U

Question: We are thinking on changing out current policy on IS-U from bi-monthly billing to monthly but keep metering on bi-monthly basis. So we need to produce estimated bills for our customers.

We are informed that we need to develop new instances of almost all our rates, schemas, rate categories, mrunits. Those changes sound very extented.

Is anybody familiar with those issues and possibly give me any advice?

Thanks in advance

Answer:
Changing from bi-monthly to monthly billing with bi-monthly meter reding can be done without the change of your current rates structure if you do not want to rebill the estimation (backbill the estimation period and rebill all period based on real meter reading):

Example:

1st month (estimation) : 100 kwh (from 0 - 100)
Bill: 100 x 0,1 = 10

2nd montth (real MR) : 120 kwh (from 100 - 220)
Bill:
- 100 x 0,1 = -10
220 (100+120) x 0,1 = 22
total = 12

In this case you will have to create another rates with Dynamic Period Control relevance (to achive the above scenario).

Other wise, if you do not want to rebill the real MR period you can only change the portions and the MRUs.
