Is it possible to install and use SRM 5.0 without having SAP BI installed?

As far as I'm aware you don't need to have BI installed to run SRM 5.0.
If anyone has any other thoughts on this one I'd be interested to know.
Answer:
Yes, you can certainly run SRM without BI - but you will have no reporting capability. THat is to say, one of the most important benefits of running SRM is spend analysis, and understanding and bringing spend under control. So you can certainly get started by using SRM as a transactional system, capturing the purchasing information - but without BI you will only be able to pull up the very limited transactional reports that are avaialble in SRM.

And that's about it. So I would say, "yes, you can - but why would you want to?" especially when BI is such an easy install, and the standard business content is so easy to extend.
