Question:
Hi
We're implementing R3 and ISU. R3 will be implemented a year prior to ISU. In trying to establish a client strategy we need to know if its best to to do all config on one client or start off on two separate clients considering the diff. go live dates.
Also can anyone explain what the main integration points as well as complexity of the integration between ISU and R3 as this I think will be the ultimate deciding factor on what client strategy to adopt.
Regards
Zubs
Answer:
Hello,
Basic integration between R/3 & ISU is
1. Mapping of R/3 Cocd with ISU Cocd Groups
2. Mapping of Cost centers/Profit centers
3. Defining Main/sub transactions-mapping appropriate GL Codes

Answer:
Hello there!
Can you please give me some more details about this integration?
I'm now working in a new client which runs MM and FI in an R/3 server, whereas utilities functions are managed in an old AS400... As I have to start an IS-U server up, I think I'll have to face several integration issues during next months. Can anybody help me, please?
I'm especially concerned about MM integration (stocks and ATP management, equipment's check in/out, etc.) as well as about PM orders integration: I don't really know how can I synchronize both servers with regards to that.
I mean (i.e.), if I have a new purchase order in my MM (R/3) server, what do I have to do if I want my IS-U server to update its ATP/stock? Do I have to use ALE? Does ALE synchronize all involved objects? Or do I have to map them individually?
Thanks in advance, greetings from Switzerland!
