Question:
We are wondering if it is possible to use Crystal Reports to read the BCS virtual InfoCube directly as opposed to using a BEx query with Crystal to enhance the formatting.
Because the BCS virtual InfoCube has the consolidations logic imbedded, we are not sure if only BEx queries will utilize this logic, or if it is possible that Crystal reporting may also utilize this logic.
Please let me know if you have any experience with this, and what the results are.

Have you found the answer? I had seen some presentation material from Crystal decisions guys in the past (about 8, 9 months back). I remember vividly that they were emphasizing that crystal is the best tool for BCS reporting. The demo shown by them was outstanding! I also remember that crystal was able to read data from BCS virtual infocube and generate reports. EP integration is smooth and seamless. Otherwise, I have not worked in crystal.
