Question:
We have implemented APO in HP Singapore and our current system configurations(R/3 and APO) are as follows.
R/3 46C sp 10
APO 30A sp 19
PI 2002_1_46C
We want to implement the plug-in PI 2003.1
Could anybody help me out with answers to the following questions.
- We are in APO version 30A SP 19. Is there any additional enhancement we should carry out in APO after the plug-in PI 2003.1 upgrade?
- Is there any implication in CIF or SNP in APO after this upgrade?
- We are going for an APO upgrade to 4.0 by Sept 2004. Will the new suggested plug-in have any impact on the APO system after the APO 4.0 upgrade.
Has anybody updated their R/3 system with this plug-in PI 2003.1? Is there any major impact in APO (CIF, Performance etc). Would like to get some information on the above also.

Answer:
You patch your current plug-in up to the newest level. Then you upgrade it to 2002_2 and patch that up to the current level. Then you upgrade to 2003_1 and patch that up to the current level.
If at any time along the way you get a error message about a wrong level or a prereq, go to se16 and look at table PAT07. Filter on the patch you just tried to install, and look at the list of prerequisites that must be completed first.
