SAPConsole Experts !!!!!

Question: Can we have SAPConsole implemented on SAP 30E version, I know it comes with 46B version, but if we try to implement for earlier versions 30E, how to go about it, I searched http://service.sap.com/scm but could not find any docs related to earlier versions. Lastly whether for SAP 30E version is it possible to implement SAPConsole.

Thanks in advance

Answer:
I don't think SAPconsole works on versions prior to 4.0.

A possible solution is a 3rd party tool (certified by SAP) that adds a mobile architecture to all SAP modules, not just WM, back to SAP v3.0d. Take a look at:http://www.amprofessionals.com/keyareas/mobilecomputing/techbenefits_of_vti.html

This solution adds mobile integration/framework without a per user license.

Best of luck

David, Thanks for the correction on SAPconsole.

In addition, I want to mention a bit more about the 3rd party solution I mentioned in my response to clarify the development effort. This solution adds a mobile framework for ALL modules within SAP and, therefore, does not require the development of transactions. A screenpainter is provided (within SAP) to first create the screen size you wish to develop (for whatever device) and you simply add the buttons/screens with associated functionality/transactions, no ABAP needed since it is generated for you, no need to write each transaction. This saves an incredible amount of time and also provides the management tools for the mobile apps such as automatic updates to the device, real time and off-line modes, etc. In essence, what SAP should have added in the first place.

I've seen other tools out there, but none that are native to SAP like this particular one. Not an answer for all requirements to be sure, but for big projects, this really adds a total mobile infrastructure to manage wireless solutions. Regards.
