Our R/3 runs on Solaris, can we install BC server and developer on NT? or server on solaris and developer on NT? If both methods are acceptable, which one is better?

Hello,
our SAP R/3 system is on AIX, development SAP BC Server is on Windows 2000 Server, production SAP BC Server is on RedHat Linux.
SAP BCDeveloper is on Windows XP.
You can install any combination you like. SAP BC is Java application and issues are comming from that direction.
As we noticed Linux has some better memory management than Windows, but our major concern to have production on Linux was virus protection.
