CIF -Material Master Integration Model - All Mtls Not in APO

Question: Hi,

Our R/3 is 4.6 C and APO is SCM 4.1 we have around 5000 discrete materials in 12 plants. We set up an integration model for all the materials in all the plants. The integration model is activated in R/3. But all the materials are not showing up in APO. How do we identify the missing the materials in APO, reconcile and correct them?

Thanks a lot for your input.

Regards,

Answer:
AFAIK there is no delta report for master data. But maybe something simple like SE16 on APO with table /SAPAPO/MATKEY to get the material list, then SE16 on R3 MARA and exclude the list from APO to get the missing ones.

Maybe you are missing some configurable material or class in APO, by activating the detailed log in cfc2 you will probably see the reason in the log.

Hope it helps,

Answer:
Hi SP0526,

Please check the integration module when you generate the IM in CFM1. Just check whether all the materials and plants are included in the IM.

Then activate logging for CIF. Afterwards, you should check the log. Normally it should give you hints to locate the reason. You need to also check the inbound queue in APO or outbound queue in R/3 . if any problem happend during CIF, you should get blocked queue.

Any further question, feel free to contact me.

Hello,

As the APO tables are nastier than the R/3 tables (due to GUIDs) I use APO transaction MASSD as a query tool. In your example you can get a list of all materials that exist within each of your 12 locations and compare those to the MARA table in R/3.
