New to Business Connector
Can Business connector handle FTPing typical flat files to various locations and vise-versa, can Business connector handle incomming files
If not has anyone got any suggestions for the best way to handle files incoming and outgoing

I have only FTP'd XML files to/from an FTP server and that is relatively straightforward. The Built-in services guide explains it pretty well. I am not sure about flat files though.

Yes, the BC can handle flat files like csv-files.
But this means a lot of development with the standard flow steps (which is very laborious). Another possibility is to create your own java program inside the BC to process the files.
