SC Approval routed to wrong approver

Question: Hello All,

Have any of you experienced an SC belonging for example to purch org A but then the approval was sent to purch org B?

Do you have any idea what triggers that? I have an SC in that situation and i checked the org structure totally different and i wonder how it happened.

Thank You

Answer:
Hello!

It is problem in WorkFlow, I guess you should check there first.

Hi,

The SC was first sent for approval to the right approver but then the SC was refused/rejected. What the requestor do is modify the shopping cart after the changes, SC does not need anymore approval bsed on configuration set-up but what happened is it was sent for approval to another person from another purch org.

The workflow set-up is Ok. But i can't find the connection between 2 purch orgs how the approval was sent to other purch org. Seems strange thing to happen.

Thank You.

Hello!

As for me it can also Assignment of processors to some standard tasks can be an issue.

Please find how it can be done below:
If you want a certain group of persons to be able to approve your work items, you must specify all the possible processors for the task in question. For example, tasks TS10008069 and TS10008127 for standard two-level approval and task TS10008126 for single-level approval. These tasks are normally assigned to the manager role. If required, you can, however, specify these processors differently.
You have to assign a processor to the tasks in the table below. To do this go to the IMG for Supplier Relationship Management and choose SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> SAP Business Workflow -> Perform Task-Specific Customizing.
Expand the SRM and the SRM-EBP folders. Find folder SRM-EBP-WFL and click on the Assign Agents hyperlink for this folder.

May be this little part of theory can be helpful for you. If not, well, may it is really program error
