Question:
Hi SRM-ers,
Have a small question: what does an SRM SC (item) do when you reject (thru WF), delete, ... the corresponding item in the backend PO. Does SRM close the SC line item automatically? Or does SRM indicate this in the history of the SC? Or do you manually have to close the SC item in SRM?
I also have the same question if you apply the same logic to the classic PR (or PR line item) in R/3.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Hibbie
Answer:
In most cases, when an item in a shopping cart is rejected, the shopping cart will not create a backend documenet such as a purchase requisition or a purchase order. When a shopping cart is in approval, it is not approved, and thus cannot be a requisition or a purchase order.
So the answer is, "when a shopping cart is rejected, it is sent back to the requestor - and after the requestor has made his changes, then he resubmits the shopping cart for approval" ...
