WE ARE IMPLEMENTING SAP APO 3.0. WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE PROBABLE SAP APO SERVER SIZING REQUIREMENTS. WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHICH ARE THE MAIN CRITERION ON WHICH THE REQT. ARE BASED.
WE ARE IMPLEMENTING DP, SNP, GATP,PPDS FOR ONE PLANT AND WITH SOME ABOUT 400 MATERIALS.
CAN ANYBODY HELP IN PROVIDING GUIDANCE ON THE SERVER SIZING BASED ON THE ABOVE . WE NEED FOR APPLICATION, LIVE CACHE AND OPTIMIZER SERVER.
SINCE APO SIZING REQUIREMENTS ARE HUGE WE NEED TO DOUBLY SURE WHILE IDENTIFYING THE SERVER REQUIREMENTS AT OUR END.

and I would advise involvement from your Hardware partner as they have competency centres based with SAP in Waldorf, and are generally pretty good. Let them make the call on sizing, and should it go wrong there is no come back on yourself, only the Hardware partner!!
